Once
again in 2009, the General Council of The United Church of Canada will
be making funding available to the Newfoundland and Labrador Conference
for Mission Support Grants. The purpose of the Conference Mission
Support Grant is to provide support to Pastoral Charges, Outreach
Ministries, and other identified mission-related projects that need
financial assistance.
As you
may be aware, the amount of the grant to our Conference will be
substantially reduced by approximately 20% for 2009. Partnership
between the Council of Finance and Administration, District Finance and
Administration Divisions and Pastoral Charges is critical as we try to
do more with less. Please consider this as we attempt to meet the
pressing needs of our Pastoral Charges and Outreach Ministries.
Applications (available at
www.newlabconf.com or Conference Office) are to be returned to the
Division of Finance and Administration in your District by
Friday,
September 12, 2008
to the address below.
All
pertinent information on the application form must be completed.
Applications must be accompanied by proof of your charitable number
which can be printed from the Canada Revenue Agency website at
www.cra-arc.gc.ca/tx/chrts/nln_lstngs/cnrg_ntrm-eng.html. Please
read the Policies and Procedures booklet attached to the application as
there have been changes.
If you

specific financial situation, please do not hesitate to contact the

your district.
