WHO WE ARE

The Burry Heights Camp and Retreat Center is owned and operated by the East District, Newfoundland and Labrador Conference, United Church of Canada. 

Member of Newfoundland and Labrador Camping Association.
MISSION STATEMENT

To provide space and programming in a natural setting reflecting Christian values where the enrichment of the mind, body and spirit happens.

WHERE WE ARE LOCATED

The Center is located on:  Salmonier Line, Route 90 Exit 35 at the beginning of the Irish Loop.

OUR FACILITIES

  • dining room (capacity 120)

  • auditorium (capacity 200)
  • 2 meeting rooms (capacity 20 each)

  • A/V equipment/PA system

  • outdoor chapel

  • fire alarm & extinguishers (protection from Holyrood Fire Department)

  • parking (approximately 100 vehicles)

  • Summer Camping Program  (June to August - 8 weeks of camps)
  • individual beds (140 bunk beds)
  • meals - Canada’s Food Guide (3 per day)
  • snacks and beverage service*
  • vegetarian meals or special meals (by request)
  • catering services to conferences, workshops & special events
  • audio/visual set-up*
  • wood provided for fireplace (as available)
  • snow-clearing after each snowfall

KITCHEN & DINING AREA: maximum accommodations; 24 people
MEETING ROOM: Maximum accommodation: 25 people
    

SUMMER CAMPING PROGRAM: Rates upon request (5 days)
