WELCOME to East District's Web Page highlighting the life and work of the United Church of Canada on the Avalon, Bonavista and Burin Peninsulas in Eastern Newfoundland.  East District, the United Church's most easterly District/Presbytery, exercises oversight over 104  United Church preaching places,  which in turn provide pastoral care to about 11,700 families.
